The District Magistrate will honour those who donate straw for the cows protected at the cow shelters of Ghaziabad district by giving them a certificate of appreciation

More than 5000 cows have been protected in the cow shelters in Ghaziabad district, for which straw is required for feeding the whole year. The government has given a target of getting 22452 quintals of straw in donation for the cows. So far, 173 quintals of straw has been received in donation. As per the instructions of the government, the farmers, donors, devotees of cows, other institutions who donate straw for the destitute cows will be honoured by the District Magistrate by giving a certificate of appreciation. 

The Block Development Officer at the development block level and the Executive Officer at the Nagar Panchayat / Nagar Palika Parishad level are getting the work of straw collection done. The Sub-Divisional Magistrates and  Tehsildars are monitoring the straw collection.
