Raipur :
Chhattisgarh Kisan Sabha, affiliated to All India Kisan Sabha, has strongly condemned the killing of two tribal youths by the police in the name of Naxalite encounter in Tadmetla and demanded arrest of the guilty police officers and compensation of Rs one crore each to the victim's families. Kisan Sabha has also raised questions on the silence of the state government on this entire incident.
In a statement issued here today, Chhattisgarh Kisan Sabha State Convenor Sanjay Parate has said that all independent investigations establish the fact that the tribal youth killed in the alleged encounter were innocent villagers. The police have not yet been able to give any logical answer as to why the bodies of these youth were forcefully burnt in the forest instead of being handed over to their families.
The Kisan Sabha leader said that after the top police officials justified this fake encounter, it is now clear that the entire massacre is state sponsored. Stopping of journalists and civilians, who want to go there to know the reality of the incident, proves this fact. The silence of the state government on this entire incident is also an indication of this.
Kisan Sabha has supported the movement being run by tribals and civil organizations against this massacre.
