  • When Bilaspur's Collector Dr. Sanjay Alang arrived at the Central Jail for an inspection, he saw a 6-year-old girl clinging to her father and crying. Upon asking, he learned that the prisoner, convicted in a crime, was her father. He has already served 5 years of his sentence and has 5 more years to go in jail. This girl was just 15 days old when her mother passed away. There was no one at home to care for her upbringing. That's why she has had to stay in the jail with her father.

The Collector Sahib personally took the girl in his car from the jail to school. The city's Jain International School admitted her. She will stay in the school's hostel. A special caretaker has also been arranged for her. The Collector Sahib himself will bear all the expenses.

It is with such people that humanity stays alive. 

  • Heartfelt salute to the Collector Sir for humanity. For the children living in jail with their parents, who have no one outside, should the authorities not take appropriate decisions? The children should get good education and become good citizens.
  • Dr. Sanjay Kumar Alang served as the Collector of Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) from December 25, 2018, to May 27, 2020. School Director Ashok Agarwal had stated that the school would cover the girl's education up to Class 12, as well as her hostel and other expenses.
  • The existence of such officers, even amidst the current atmosphere of political pressure, is proof that humanity is still alive.
  • Thank you, Collector Sir. Please just ensure that no kind of sexual misconduct or any mishap occurs with the little girl. This is a request to you, Sir.
