In a significant courtesy meeting held in New Delhi, an in-depth dialogue took place between India and Thailand focusing on Buddhism, moral values, and social harmony. The special attraction of this meeting was the dignified presence of Shri Lal Singh Arya, National President of the BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha, whose thoughts gave this dialogue a social direction.
The meeting was led by Ambassador Dr. Parvinder, a representative of the World Peace Institute (affiliated with the United Nations) and the founding president of Page3News Foundation. Dr. Parvinder has been internationally honored for his global peace efforts. He also serves as an advisor to prestigious organizations such as Wat Thai Kushinagar, Wat Thai Wat Fa Ram Ayodhya (India), and the Thai Security Association.
The participation of Dr. Monrudi Sommard, who came from Thailand, was particularly noteworthy. She currently serves as a legal advisor to the Prime Minister of Thailand and is also an advisor to the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labour.
The program saw active participation from Chaudhary Nikhil Chandel from Delhi and the author, Ravindra Arya.
The core of the discussion centered on the current global relevance of Buddhism, the social philosophy of Sant Ravidas, and the restoration of ethical values. A special focus was placed on the propagation of Buddhism in Thailand, the role of Wat Thai Monastery located in Kushinagar, India, and the proposed international hospital in Nepal’s Lumbini region with the support of Tiger Rana.
On this occasion, Shri Lal Singh Arya emphasized the contemporary social relevance of the philosophy of Sant Ravidas and the need for restoring equality, morality, and religion in Indian society. He expressed a spirit of cooperation with the Thai delegation to reestablish the historical Buddhist ties between India and Thailand. In this direction, granting classical language status to the Pali language by the Government of India is a significant step.
This dialogue not only strengthens the cultural and spiritual partnership between India and Thailand but also reveals the possibility of a new world order based on global peace and moral-religious values.
Such initiatives redefine the role of India's social leaders, and the presence of public representatives like Shri Lal Singh Arya provides new direction and strength to these efforts.
