"I may be poor, but I won’t let my daughter fall prey to this conversion gang." These are the words of Azad Singh, a farmer from Balupura locality of Ghaziabad, who has come to Lucknow in search of his 22-year-old daughter, Pooja Chaudhary.
He has appealed to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to rescue his daughter from the clutches of an Islamic religious conversion racket. This is not merely a personal tragedy but a stark indicator of a deeper social conspiracy that poses a grave threat to the Hindu community at large.
On April 2, 2025, Azad Singh filed a missing person report for his daughter Pooja at Kotwali Nagar Police Station, Ghaziabad. Four months on, there has been no significant progress or serious attempt by the police to trace her, leaving him disillusioned with the system.
In a sworn affidavit submitted by Azad Singh, several alarming clues have been noted:
Truecaller identification linking her number to a man named Zakir Khan.
These incidents have convinced Azad Singh that his daughter has fallen prey to a well-organized Islamic conversion racket.
Role of Vishwa Hindu Raksha Parishad and the Media
In this distressing time, Vishwa Hindu Raksha Parishad and Sudarshan News Channel stood by Azad Singh.
Expressing deep gratitude to Shri Suresh Charva and the news channel, Azad Singh said:
"For the first time, I felt like someone truly heard my pain. It is because of Suresh Ji and Sudarshan Channel that I was able to reach out to Yogi Ji today."
Recent media investigations have unearthed troubling activities linked to a self-proclaimed Sufi spiritual leader named Changur Baba, who is accused of luring Hindu girls into Islamic practices and causing their disappearance.
Azad Singh suspects that his daughter, Pooja, has been abducted and indoctrinated into this very network.
Demands from the Yogi Government
In Lucknow, Azad Singh made the following demands to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath:
A special investigation into the entire case.
Safe return of his daughter, Pooja.
Uncovering and strict action against the key conspirators behind the conversion racket.
Launch of Anti-Conversion Helpline Center
On the same day, Vishwa Hindu Raksha Parishad took a major step by launching an Anti-Conversion Helpline Center in Lucknow.
"We are witnessing that victims of illegal religious conversions rarely receive cooperation from the police. This helpline has been launched to provide legal, social, and emotional support to such families."
"If even a vigilant father cannot save his daughter from the clutches of religious conversion, how vulnerable must the daughters of ordinary urban and rural families be?"
